We’ve also been helping the world’s biggest betting operators for decades. They’ve chosen to work with us to embed our premium betting content, marketing and affiliate partnerships into their platforms.

Our history


  • 1986: Launch of the daily newspaper in the UK and Ireland
  • 1996: Launch of Betting Shop Display Edition
  • 1997: Launch of
  • 2007: Launch of B2B content syndication business
  • 2008: William Hill become the first partner to integrate our horseracing content
  • 2009: Launch of our industry-leading Racing Post app
  • 2016: Exponent Private Equity acquired the business
  • 2018: Acquisition of MyRacing, FreeSuperTips and ICS
  • 2019: Become a licensed affiliate in the US with the launch of Pickswise
  • 2019: New joint venture created, AllSported, with TXODDS and Banach Technology
  • 2020: Rebrand of the business from Racing Post Group to Spotlight Sports Group
  • 2021: Acquisition of the Alarm Sports Network and launched a joint venture with Diario AS to create and manage their sports betting hub
  • 2022: Launched a groundbreaking sports betting monetization partnership with US media powerhouse, Advance Local
